PivotTracker Privacy Policy
Effective Date: September 17, 2026
Last Updated: September 20, 2026
Finspicuous LLC ("Finspicuous," "we," "us," or "our") operates PivotTracker (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights you have. It applies to pivottracker.ai and any related app, dashboard, or account area.
This Service is intended for U.S. residents. If you access it from outside the United States, you understand your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.
1. Information We Collect
Account information. When you sign up, we collect your name, email address, and a password (stored as a hash, never in plain text).
Payment information. We use Stripe to process subscription payments. When you check out, your card details go directly to Stripe — Finspicuous LLC never receives, sees, or stores your full card number. We receive from Stripe only what's needed to manage your subscription: your subscription status, plan, billing dates, and a payment method reference (e.g., card brand and last four digits). Stripe's own privacy policy governs the payment data it holds: stripe.com/privacy.
Usage data. We may use website analytics tools to understand how visitors use the site — pages viewed, session duration, device/browser type, and approximate location (city/region level, derived from IP address). We also keep basic server logs (IP address, timestamps, requests) for security and troubleshooting.
Your content. Watchlists, portfolios, saved configurations, and any other data you enter into the Service are yours. We store and process this information to provide the Service to you and do not sell it, trade on it, or share your identifiable content as a product.
We may de-identify and aggregate information and statistics derived from use of the Service, including performance and analytical results, so that they cannot reasonably be associated with you or your account. We may use this de-identified, aggregated information to evaluate and improve the Service, refine and enhance our models and analytics, and ultimately provide better insights and functionality to our subscribers.
Communications. If you email us for support, we keep that correspondence to respond to you and improve the Service.
We do not knowingly collect any special categories of information (health, precise geolocation, biometric data, etc.), and we do not ask for or need your brokerage or bank account credentials.
2. How We Use Information
We use the information above to:
- Provide, maintain, and secure the Service, including authenticating your account and processing your subscription;
- Communicate with you about your account, billing, and service changes (these are not optional — you'll get them regardless of marketing preferences, as they're necessary to run your subscription);
- Send you marketing emails about PivotTracker — new features, tips, or offers — using the email address on your account. You can opt out at any time using the unsubscribe link in any marketing email, or by contacting us directly; this won't affect account or billing emails, which are separate;
- Understand usage patterns and improve the Service, using aggregated analytics data;
- Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, or security incidents;
- Comply with legal obligations (e.g., tax and financial recordkeeping).
3. Cookies and Analytics
We use cookies for two purposes:
- Essential cookies — to keep you signed in and remember basic preferences. The Service will not function correctly without these.
- Analytics cookies — if and when enabled, to measure site usage as described above. You can block cookies in your browser settings if you'd prefer not to be tracked; this won't affect your ability to use the Service.
We do not use analytics features intended for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not run third-party advertising or retargeting pixels on the Service.
4. Sharing of Information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes. We share information only with:
- Service providers who process data on our behalf and only for the purposes above: Stripe (payments), website analytics providers (if and when used), and our hosting/infrastructure providers.
- Legal and safety reasons — if required by law, subpoena, or legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Finspicuous LLC, our users, or the public.
- Business transfers — if Finspicuous LLC is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to the same protections described here.
5. Your Privacy Rights
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the CPRA, gives you the right to:
- Know what personal information we've collected about you and why;
- Delete personal information we hold about you, subject to certain legal exceptions (e.g., records we must keep for tax purposes);
- Correct inaccurate personal information;
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information — as stated above, we do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising;
- Non-discrimination — we will not deny you the Service, charge you differently, or provide a different level of service because you exercised any of these rights.
Residents of other states with comprehensive privacy laws (including Colorado, Connecticut, and Virginia) have similar rights.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at charlene@finspicuous.com. We will verify your identity (typically by confirming account access) before acting on a request.
6. Data Retention
We keep your account information and content for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your subscription or request account deletion:
- We will delete or anonymize your account information and content within a reasonable period after your request, other than what we're legally required to retain.
- Billing and transaction records tied to your subscription are kept longer, as required for tax and accounting purposes.
7. Data Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and password hashing. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from, anyone under 18. If we learn we've collected information from someone under 18, we will delete it.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. For material changes, we will provide notice (such as email or an in-app notice) before the change takes effect. Continued use of the Service after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
